Broadway shows to return in September
Broadway’s bright lights will twinkle again from September. Theaters will reopen in September at full capacity and tickets for shows will go on sale this week, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said.
The famed theater district has been closed for more than a year causing a severe financial impact and some productions have confirmed they won’t be returning.
Phantom of the Opera announced a reopening date,of 22 October. The New York Times reports about 30 shows will start or resume performances by the end of this year, including Hamilton, The Lion King and Wicked.
