Carlson secure GetThere deal

Friday, 01 Mar, 2006 0

Carlson Wagonlit has signed a reseller agreement with GetThere which it claims will give clients more flexibility in their choice of online booking system.

The GetThere online corporate reservations system will be available to clients in Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and Latin America.

It will offer multi-GDS compatibility, multilingual capabilities and international currencies.

The deal cements a longstanding agreement with GetThere which started in 1998 when a CWT client first integrated the system into its travel management programme.

CWT president and chief executive Hubert Joly said: “Online booking allows companies to reduce their total costs by roughly 10%. Realising savings depends on the ability to quickly drive online adoption around the world.”
