Cathay Pacific adding more flights to the UK

Wednesday, 14 December 20163 min read
Cathay Pacific is increasing London Gatwick and Manchester flights to meet demand.
Its existing four-times-weekly service to Gatwick will become a daily operation from June 2017.
In the same month at Manchester, it is adding a fifth weekly flight and is switching its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to an all Airbus A350-900 operation.
The Gatwick service, launched in September, already uses the Airbus A350-900.
Alongside the airline’s services to London Heathrow, Cathay Pacific will operate up to six daily non-stop flights between Hong Kong and London next year.
Stephen Turner, commercial director at Manchester Airport, said: "Since launching two years ago, Cathay Pacific’s service has not only been popular with the leisure market, but it has also stimulated trade and investment opportunities between the two locations."
