Cebu Pacific enhances payment options

Anticipating a last minute spike in travel demand for the holidays, Philippines low cost carrier Cebu Pacific has boosted over the counter payment options for domestic travellers.

More than 1,400 branches of convenience store 7-Eleven have joined the ECPay network where bookings can be paid for in person.

In addition about 1,800 Cebuana Lhuillier branches can now also accept payments for CEB tickets.

Customers make flight reservations in the usual way on the Cebu Pacific website and then can choose the ‘Pay within 24 Hours’ option.

Along with the emailed 12-digit confirmation number, customers can pay over the counter at any of the branches.

CEB also has existing agreements with branches of Robinsons Department Stores and SM Department Stores for flight booking payments.

"We remain committed to giving more travelers the chance to fly. By offering options, passengers are empowered to choose their own flights and the most convenient method of payment for them," said Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific vice president for marketing and distribution.
