Celebrate Fourth of July in Vicksburg
Historic Vicksburg, Mississippi goes all out for the Fourth of July, culminating with the longest fireworks display in the entire state.

Spectators can soak in the view poolside at the Fourth of July Pool Party at Mulberry Vicksburg, with the French-inspired boutique hotel providing everything needed for America’s birthday party. The popular Texas Camel Corps Program will be at the Vicksburg National Military Park July 5-7. The visiting animals are part of an annual tradition honoring Old Douglas, a camel that served with the 43rd Mississippi Volunteer Infantry during the Siege of Vicksburg. Additionally, the park will host History Comes Alive at Vicksburg on that Saturday and Sunday.
Generals Grant and Pemberton will host a reenactment of the last 24 hours of the Civil War siege.
Travelers can also visit the Civil War-era memorabilia honoring the 161st anniversary of the Siege of Vicksburg and explore the charming old-school Southern downtown.
