Cheapflights ‘plots European expansion’
Price comparison website Cheapflights is considering expansion onto the Continent, according to reports.
A move into Germany is being considered and other European countries, according to the Guardian.
The paper reported that the company was in the final stages of hiring a head for its US unit to free up management time to concentrate on Europe.
Chief executice David Soskin reportedly said: “We think we have got a global business here. Our view is that if you can succeed on the internet in America you can succeed about anywhere.”
He also admitted the company had been approached by a number of private equity firms but said there was no need to sell out.
