Chester in trade push

Friday, 02 Aug, 2006 0

A travel trade executive has been appointed by Destination Management organisation Visit Chester & Cheshire.

Emma Bellis, who brings 11 years experience in hospitality and even management to the role, is responsible for increasing group travel business to the area.

She will be liaising with attractions, conference venues and accommodation providers as part of a drive to develop a more co-ordinated approach to drawing in conferences and other group visits.

She said: “Although visits by leisure groups, clubs and associations, and coach and tour operators, already  bring in millions each year to our economy, there’s still a massive untapped potential in this market.”
