Children hurt in rollercoaster crash in Scotland

A rollercoaster crash at a theme park in Scotland has injured eight children and two adults.

M&D’s park near Strathclyde Park, Motherwell, was evacuated and remains closed after the Tsunami ride derailed and crashed on Sunday afternoon.

A joint investigation is being conducted by police and the Health and Safety Executive.

According to the BBC, one adult and one child remain in hospital ‘in a stable condition’ and three children were due to return home on Sunday night.

The Tsunami is a gondola ride which corkscrews and loops and can travel at speeds of up to 40mph.
