CMA opens probe into Covid test provider
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has started taking action against Covid-19 test providers allegedly violating consumer laws. The CMA opened an investigation into one of the UK’s largest providers, Expert Medicals.
It is following up complaints that the company did not provide results on time or issue refunds when required .It also failed to respond to complaints. Expert Medicals has been removed from a list of testing providers and the CMA wrote to 19 other test providers, warning them to update misleading pricing information.
