Commercial flights returning to Naples, FL

Elite Airways has announced the launch of the first commercial jet service for more than eight years from Naples Municipal Airport on Florida’s Paradise Coast.
Scheduled service begins on February 27 with weekly flights to Newark.
There are also twice-weekly flights to Newark via Vero Beach Airport and to Portland, Maine via Melbourne,FL.
Elite will operate Bombardier CRJ-200 and CRJ-700 jets on the routes.
"Naples Municipal Airport is a hidden gem in the heart of the Paradise Coast. We are thrilled to provide non-stop and direct flights to New York City and Portland Maine, and we thank airport and community leaders for their support and assistance," said John Pearsall, president of Elite Airways.
Reservations for flights are now live and fares start at $169 one way including the first checked bag for free and complimentary drinks and snacks.
Naples has not had a regular commercial passenger airline since 2007.
"These new flights offer great access to our destination for both business and leisure travelers," said Jack Wert, executive director of the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau.
"The New York and northern New Jersey area is a big supplier of visitors to our part of Florida, and now both new and repeat visitors will be able to arrive right in the middle of all that Florida’s Paradise coast has to offer."
