Company focuses on dreams rather than sales

Instead of offering transactions, SoGoNow focuses on inspiring consumers with thousands of vacation ideas, filling what it calls a “unique niche.”

The Denver, CO-based company is celebrating its first anniversary.

“While most travel sites are focused on the transaction — selling an airline ticket, or booking a hotel — SoGoNow is focused on inspiring consumers with first hand content and thousands of vacation ideas,” said Will Seccombe, the company’s founder.

The site adds fresh travel content with new travel articles, travel news and vacation deals added every day.

Visits to the site have grown each month. In January, SoGoNow hosted nearly 150,000 visitors who viewed more than 1.2 million pages of content.

Average visitors come back to the site twice a month and spend more than eight minutes during each visit, according to the site.

The site has drawn advertisers such as the Colorado Tourism Office.

“Our goal is to inspire travelers to consider a Colorado Vacation and SoGoNow.com is the perfect medium for us to advertise in because their audience is made up of travelers looking for vacation ideas,” said Kim McNulty, director of the tourism office.

This year, the site has added a Travel Forum for visitors to share personal travel ideas and ask advice.
