Covid outbreak on another Florida cruise ship
A third Florida based cruise ship has been hit with a Covid-19 outbreak this week.
The latest to fall prey to the virus is Carnival Freedom.
Carnival Cruise Line didn’t disclose the number of cases but was significant enough for the ship to be denied entry to Bonaire and Aruba.
The ship is carrying 2,497 passengers
"Carnival Freedom is following all protocols and has a small number on board who are in isolation due to a positive Covid test," Carnival Cruise Line said.
"Our protocols anticipate this possibility and we implement them as necessary to protect the health and safety of our guests and crew."
Just days ago a Royal Caribbean cruise ship was denied docking in Curacao and Aruba after more than 50 people tested positive for Covid.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating the outbreak on Odyssey of the Seas.
There were also 28 reported cases aboard MSC Seashore.
Florida just recorded its second ever highest number of daily cases.
