Crystal River Cruises targeting late August restart
Crystal will return to European rivers in late August.
Addressing travel trade partners, Crystal River Cruises’ SVP Walter Littlejohn said plans are well advanced for a 29 August restart.
"We are cautiously optimistic about the recent news from the European Union allowing entry for vaccinated travellers. It is a welcome step toward the resumption of unfettered European river cruising," he wrote.
"We are currently assessing our final ship deployment for fall/winter 2021 and will communicate further details when completed. In the meantime, we are readying the fleet."
The EU is targeting a 1 July start for its region-wide new digital green pass.
The company has developed new health and safety protocols on ships to keep guests safe and all guests and crew are required to be vaccinated.
Covid-19 tests will also be conducted at embarkation.
