Cunard returning to Alaska
UK Line Cunard is set to return to Alaska for the first time in more than 20 years.
Cunard will head to the last Frontier in May 2019 and will offer four round trip cruises lasting 10 days from Vancouver aboard the Queen Elizabeth.
Sailings will travel the Inside Passage to Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka and have been designed to offer more time on land, said Josh Leibowitz, SVP of Cunard North America.
"Our guests can now explore the region on the best itinerary in Alaska—four 10-night round trip Vancouver sailings with more time in port and opportunities to visit the natural wonders of Tracy Arm Fjord and Hubbard Glacier."
The four voyages depart May 21, May 31, June 10 and June 20, 2019.
Some sailings will also offer pre and post-cruise Rocky Mountain Rail tours.
The ship will then sail south to San Francisco and Los Angeles and through the Panama Canal on a full transatlantic voyage ending in the UK.
Reservations for the Alaska voyages go live on October 31.
