Thailand’s ruling military council has decided to lift a night-time curfew in three of the country’s most popular tourist resorts.
The nationwide curfew, which was imposed after the army seized power two weeks ago, no longer applies in Pattaya, Phuket and Koh Samui.
But across the rest of the country, including the capital Bangkok, locals and tourists must still return to their accommodation between midnight and 0400.

A spokeswoman for the Tourist Authority of Thailand said there have been no significant cancellations because of the coup.
"We’ve arrived and it’s very much business as usual," she said.
"The airport and transfer were all ok and we haven’t seen any tanks or soldiers. You really wouldn’t know any different on arriving to Bangkok."
