Delta orders more Airbus A321neo jets
Delta Air Lines plans to buy at least 25 more Airbus A321neo planes. Its current order for the narrow body jet is now at 125. It expects to start taking delivery of the planes in 2022.
It feels confident in adding new planes to its fleet with clearer signs a meaningful travel recovery is on the horizon. Delta and other carriers are seeing a rebound in bookings, although it is almost entirely domestic leisure travel demand. Business travel remains depressed.
