DFDS has appointed Mark Henderson as regional sales manager for the North of England, Scotland and Ireland.
He has worked for DFDS since 2012 and his recent promotion sees him move shore-side from a customer-facing role.
He was previously an officer on board the company’s Newcastle-Amsterdam ship, King Seaways, where he was in charge of all entertainment, the casino, and on board bars.
National sales manager Colin Fawcus said: "We’re delighted to welcome Mark into the UK sales team. He already has extensive knowledge of DFDS products, which puts him in a great position to build strong relationships with our existing trade partners and share his insight to attract new customers."
