'Don´t worry about green issues' says futurologist

The travel industry should not worry about increasing concerns about global warming because it is just a passing phase.

That was the view of BT futurologist Ian Pearson, speaking to delegates at the ITT Conference in Gran Canaria.

He said new technologies were already being developed that would mean zero carbon emissions.

“Don´t get too worried about it. People are getting obsessed with it but in five or six years’ time they will get bored of it,” he said.

“It will disappear into oblivion and new technology will solve the problem, as long as we can keep the politicians out of the way.”
