EasyJet launches online accommodation service
EasyJet has joined forces with First Choice-owned booking service Hotelopia to launch an online accommodation service offering properties throughout Europe.
The service, called easyJetHotels, will offer multiple meal plan options and family services across a selection of 10,000 properties. Customers can book hotels and apartments in up to 500 destinations.
A spokesman for easyJetHotels said it would offer customers a dedicated customer care phone line, available 24 hours a day throughout the year.
He said the call centre would be staffed by multilingual representatives covering key European languages.
The no-frills airline’s chief executive Ray Webster said: “EasyJet is delighted to announce the new partnership with Hotelopia and the creation of easyJetHotels.
“The jointly developed accommodation portal compliments easyjet.com as a one stop travel shop. Over the next few months the product will also evolve, offering a range of more specialist services.”
EasyJet has a network of 183 routes in 57 airports.
