Eurostar strike suspended
Strikes by Eurostar staff have been called off after unions and the rail operator agreed to more talks.
The walk-out started Friday and had been due to continue until today (Monday), and also over the UK bank holiday weekend.
Despite the suspension, Eurostar continued to operate its revised timetable on Sunday and today when eight services were cancelled.
It said all affected passengers had already been accommodated on other trains.
The dispute is over giving staff a better work/life balance.
The RMT union said the decision to suspend the strikes was made after progress in talks.
The TSSA union said it has reached an agreement with Eurostar ‘in principal’ about rosters.
