Former Opodo head of travel products Claire Hayes has joined www.carrentals.co.uk as head of product and purchasing.
In her role at Opodo for two years she was responsible for the car hire, cruise, villa and insurance product strategy and implementation. Prior to Opodo, Hayes was with BA Holidays for 13 years.
At the price comparison website she will be responsible for the strategy and direction of supplier partnerships, establishing agreements with new suppliers, developing business opportunities with existing partners and generating new offers to support the growth of the company.
Hayes said: “The internet has generated a new era of travel companies and there is huge potential for these to develop the way the travel industry operates in future.
“I am bringing travel industry knowledge to help build the brand in the next stage of its development.”
