Exec reveals more Epic Universe park details

NBCUniversal has revealed more details about the new Epic Universe theme park, set to open in 2025.
Mark Woodbury, CEO of Universal Destinations & Experiences, told an industry conference it will be Universal’s ‘most technologically advanced park.’
It will have ‘facial recognition photo validation tech’ for a ‘frictionless’ guest experience.
He teased the introduction of robotics drone technology and new ticketing and revenue management tech.
The park will have four themed zones including a Nintendo Land.
It will build 2,000 hotel rooms for the park, with unprecedented hotel integration into the park experience, he said.
“The full guest journey is really being taken to a whole new level.”
“We have the benefit of new technology that we’re deploying in terms of managing ticketing and revenue,” Woodbury said.
