Explore Holidays offers new Ireland, Wales and Scotland programmes

Explore Holidays has announced new Celtic product in the UK.

It has increased its Dublin accommodation offering for 2007, including Bono and The Edge owned Clarence Hotel in Dublin, located in Dublin’s historic Temple Bar district, with the boutique property one of several new Explore Irish product in 2007.

Other new Irish offerings include a Waterford Crystal Factory tour at about $A11 and a ‘Hop-on Hop-off’ sightseeing tour focusing on Galway at $A18 per person.

Explore has also re-introduced two CIE Coach Tours, Mystical Ireland and Castles and Manors, with the 8 day, 7 night Mystical Ireland tour beginning in Dublin, travelling directly north to Northern Ireland, returning south via Derry, Donegal, Westport and Galway. The tour is priced from $A1825 per person twin share, the tour ending on a high note with a stay in Bunratty Castle complete with their medieval dinner.

The 10 day, 9 night Irish Castles Manors visits Galway, Killarney and Limavady is priced from $A2990 per person twin share and features Blarney Castle, the Giant’s Causeway, Balintubber Abbey, Donegal Castle and a visit to the Old Jameson Whiskey Distillery.

Explore is also offering two new Scottish sightseeing programs, including an Edinburgh Literary Pub Tour and the Scottish Whisky Heritage Centre programme which offers a barrel ride through whisky history! The Edinburgh Literary Pub Tour is priced at $A24 and the Scottish Whisky Heritage Centre programme at $A28 per person.

Explore Holidays has also expanded its regional Wales product with two new 3 day, 2 night self-drive itineraries, including Down in the Valley, a focus on the Pontypridd region north of Cardiff in South Wales and Mountains and Rail, which is based around Caernarfon and Snowdonia National Park, in spectacular North Wales. Priced at from $A478 per person twin share, the tours accommodation, breakfast daily and all sightseeing as in the itinerary. Car rental is additional.
