FAA seeks more help from airlines to curb unruly behavior
The Federal Aviation Administration wants US airlines to take more action against unruly behavior. The FAA is seeking a ‘commitment to take more action and tell the FAA in a week the additional steps they will implement.’ It comes after a meeting with trade groups Airlines for America and the Regional Airline Association.
The appeal for assistance from airlines is the latest move to stem unruly and sometimes violent conduct by passengers mostly from a refusal to wear a mask properly.
Some instances have led to large federal fines but few criminal procedings.
