An American Airlines flight attendant accused of physically attacking fellow crew members and two air marshals has been acquitted.
A judge ruled Joanne Snow, 67, not guilty by ‘reasons of insanity.’
Her attorney argued her erratic behavior was caused by the effects of hormone treatment at an anti-aging clinic.
She was accused of slapping a flight attendant and attacking two air marshals during a round trip transatlantic trip between Charlotte and Frankfurt, Germany.
She was also accused of trying to flee border control officials on arrival in Charlotte, according to court documents.
After the incident she was committed to hospital and then spent time detained in jail.
If found guilty of the two felony charges she faced a big fine and long prison sentence.
American Airlines confirmed Snow is no longer employed at the airline following an internal investigation.
