Flight attendant punch up causes Delta flight to divert

Saturday, 01 Feb, 2016 0
The friendly skies were anything but on a recent Delta Air Lines flight when two female flight attendants got into a fist fight.

The mid-air brawl took place on flight 2598 from Los Angeles to Minneapolis.

The captain elected to make an unscheduled landing in Salt Lake City.

A work related argument on January 22 sparked the fisticuffs 40 minutes into the flight, according to The Aviation Herald.

A third woman who tried to break up the fight was also hit in the melee.

The Herald reports passengers were sent a letter by way of apology which stated: "Some of our team members did not display their best behavior. We expect our flight crew to be nothing but courteous and professional at all times and what you experienced was far from that. I am sorry we didn’t deliver on our brand promise for you today."

The plane took off again at Salt Lake City after a delay of more than one hour.
