Hawks Cay Resort hopes to consolidate its place as a leading meetings and events destination in the Florida Keys with the unveiling of new redesigned facilities.
The resort has created a new concept for meetings and conferences, better showcasing its seafront location.
"We already have the largest meeting and conference space in the Florida Keys. While we have added additional square footage to bring our conference footprint to 20,000 square feet, the renovation we just completed is more about removing the barriers, both emotional and physical," said Hawks Cay managing director Sheldon Suga.
"If guests are in a beautiful setting, connecting with each other and having fun, they will remember the discussion and be creatively engaged in the process. This was our ultimate goal from a meetings perspective," Suga added.
The resort, located in the Middle Keys, has completely redesigned the lobby, added cabanas, a lounge area and adults-only restaurant at the Tranquillity Pool space, and expanded the spa to include a new relaxation lounge.
The resort has also created a group recreation guide featuring more inclusive activities available to a wider cross section of guests.
"We often hear from groups that they love how our activities level the playing field. Guests don’t have to miss out because they can’t play golf or keep up on the tennis court. As a matter of fact, we have found our activities to be a bonding experience for groups because so many people are actually doing these things for the first time," says Suga.
