Flybe expands winter service from Heathrow
Flybe will continue to operate a direct daily flight between Guernsey and Heathrow and will keep the recently added sixth additional flight from London to Edinburgh for the 2019/2020 winter season.
Seats are on sale for the new Guernsey route from September 5, while Edinburgh tickets are available now.
Chief commercial officer Roy Kinnear said: "We’ve been closely monitoring this new route since it was introduced to our 2019 summer programme. We’re pleased to confirm the route will operate through to its very first winter."
Charles Parkinson, president of the Committee for Economic Development at the States of Guernsey said: "The Heathrow service has already seen nearly 13,000 passengers fly the route to the end of July, helping to boost air travel to and from the London market by nearly 5%."
Meanwhile, Flybe will retain the extra Edinburgh to London service it added in summer 2019 for the winter schedule.
The sixth daily return flight was added on Flybe’s Heathrow service this summer.
The early morning flight is scheduled to depart London Heathrow at 06:40, arriving Edinburgh at 08:15, with the evening flight returning to Heathrow from Edinburgh at 20:15, arriving at 22:00.
Flybe’s winter service runs between October 27 2019 and March 28 2020.
