Flybe starts e-ticketing with Sabre
Sabre-connected travel agents and tour operators will be able to issue electronic tickets for Flybe flights.
The airline’s new e-ticket system is designed to improve the booking and ticket collection experience for both agents and passengers, in addition to streamlining customer processing at airports.
E-ticketing will enable changes to be made to a passenger’s itinerary directly into the system and removes the need to re-post tickets offering a simpler system for booking tickets close to the time of departure, according to the carrier.
E-tickets will also remove the need for agents to arrange tickets on departure, saving travel them time and money.
The airline’s trade marketing manager Linzi Hill said: “We are dedicated to improving our booking services and sales initiatives with our travel trade partners and to making the customer experience of travelling with us as hassle-free as possible.
“Booking is always customers’ and agents’ first experience of dealing with Flybe so it’s essential the experience is a positive one. We believe this latest enhancement will make the booking process as efficient, smooth and cost effective as possible for all parties.”
