In bid to kick-start travel and tourism across Japan, kids will be able to ride free on the country’s bullet train network. Central Japan Railway Co and West Japan Railway Co said children travel free on super-express services to cities including Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka and Hakata.
The campaign begins this week and runs until 19 December. Following a sharp decline in Covid cases, the government hopes to rekindle domestic travel demand.
