The flag carrier of the world’s most populous Muslim nation will go ahead with plans to start flights to the US.
Garuda Indonesia has targeted this summer to start flights to the US West Coast via Japan.
Plans to serve Los Angeles are still on track, despite President Trump’s executive ordare banning nationals of seven Muslim nations.
This blacklist does not include Indonesia.
Trump’s executive order bans nationals from Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Libya and Yemen for an initial 90 days and all applications for refugee status are suspended for 120 days.
"We are staying on course, planning to start flying to the US in June or July," Garuda spokesman Benny S. Butarbutar said.
