Gary Smith appointed Europcar UK managing director
Gary Smith has been appointed managing director for the UK for Europcar Group.
Smith, who joined the company in 2012 as UK finance director, previously held a number of financial and operational positions within the car rental industry, both at Group and UK level.
The appointment is part of a restructure of the car rental giant’s management team.
Board members’ roles have been redefined and will now focus on their new Group responsibilities.
The top team is as follows: CEO Philippe Germond, deputy CEO Caroline Parot, deputy CEO countries and operations’¨ Kenneth McCall, and deputy CEO sales, marketing, customers and InterRent, Fabrizio Ruggiero.
Jean-Claude Poupard, current operational finance and risk Group director, is appointed Europcar Group chief financial officer.
He joined Europcar as Group treasury director in February 2011.
Raoul Colantoni is appointed managing director for Italy and Franck Rohard, who joined the company last year, is appointed Europcar Group general secretary.
