Global reports growth in cruise sales
Global Travel Group says its cruise sales are up 25% in the first half of 2013.
The consortium, which has over 400 independent agents, said cruise has experienced its "strongest start to the year ever".
Meanwhile, long haul sales are up 15%, boosted by strong growth for the Maldives, Mauritius and Dubai, up 53%, 45% and 40% respectively.
In comparison, short haul bookings are only up 4%.
The group, which did not disclose actual sales figures, said overall sales are up 11%.
The Global Travel Group is part of Stella Travel Services UK, whose portfolio also includes Travel 2 and TravelBag.
