High-end hotel burglars rumbled

Tuesday, 1 September 20153 min read

French police have arrested two men who dressed as ‘wealthy Arab tourists’ to burgle upmarket hotels in Paris and the French Riviera.

Authorities retrieved £60,000 in cash plus jewellery and luxury clothes, according to the Daily Mail.

The thieves told reception staff they had lost their keys and then used a stethoscope on the door to check no-one was inside before entering and raiding the rooms.

Once inside, they used a hammer and chisel to remove safes, which were then hidden in suitcases.
