Hilton has appointed banking executive Jonathan Witter to the newly created role of chief customer officer.
Witter will have responsibility for Hilton’s global brands, marketing, loyalty, IT and strategy teams.
He was most recently president of retail and direct banking at Capital One Financial Corporation where he spent six years, and is a former COO of Morgan Stanley Private Bank.
Witter reports to CEO Christopher J. Nassetta.
"He will be integral to ensuring that at every stage of our customers’ journey, from the time they start planning a trip to when they arrive back home, we exceed their expectations at every turn," Nassetta said in a statement."
