Friday, 12 January 20183 min read

Nottingham train station has been evacuated and will not open for the rest of the day following a huge fire that broke out earlier this morning.

The fire broke out shortly after 6am and all services have been cancelled, with reports that roads around the station are either closed or heavily congested.

Sixty fire-fighters from Notts Fire and Rescue Service are tackling the blaze, which is believed to have been started in a toilet.

On-demand coach service Sn-ap has spaces available today for commuters travelling to and from the capital and is honouring journeys for customers carrying pre-booked rail tickets.

Services include the 12 noon and 6pm Nottingham-London and the 11.30am and 5.30pm London-Nottingham journeys.
