Humberside Airport in security scare

Humberside Airport was evacuated for more than three hours yesterday and flights were diverted after a suspicious package was spotted in a car.

The nearby A18 was also closed in both ways at Kirmington while police investigated the vehicle.

However, it turned out to be a false alarm and the airport reopened at around 14:00
