IndiGo suffers data breach
IndiGo has warned customers it recently suffered a data breach and personal information may have been exposed.
It said some of its servers were hacked earlier in December, and relevant law enforcement authorities were alerted and are investigating.
The airline says the breach was only for a short time and should have ‘minimal impact’ on customers.
"Some of our servers were subject to a hacking incident . We were able to restore our systems in a very short span of time," the airline said.
"There were some segments of data servers that were breached, so there is a possibility that some internal documents may get uploaded by the hackers on public websites and platforms," it added.
"We realise the seriousness of the issue, and are continuing to engage with all relevant experts and law enforcement."
