Ireland Covid entry rules scrapped
Covid regulations for arriving passengers to Ireland have now been removed.
It became effective on Sunday and allows travellers in without having to present proof of vaccination, recovery or a negative PCR test.
They no longer have to fill out a passenger locator form
It marks the end of ‘the last remaining Covid regulations.’
“It’s another step forward in our Covid efforts,” Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly said.
The government removed the remaining entry protocols in part to streamline entry for displaced Ukrainians fleeing their homeland.
As of the weekend, about 600 Ukrainians have arrived in Ireland, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs.
The Department of Health said the current Covid situation was ‘broadly positive’ with high vaccination levels.
