Italy tightens entry rules for Americans

Italy became the first EU country to implement stricter requirements for Americans since the US was removed from the EU’s safe list. Americans must present a negative Covid test taken within three days of their arrival in Italy regardless of vaccination status.
Unvaccinated travelers have to quarantine for five days after they arrive and will then be tested a second time. All arrivals must fill out a passenger locator form.
The new requirements will be effective until at least 25 October.
