James Hardy, head of web and e-commerce for Jet2 and Jet2holidays, is leaving to join easyJet.
He will be digital director for the airline, which is looking to bolster its easyJet Holidays division.
Hardy has worked for Jet2 since June 2014, managing a team of more than 80 people and driving all online strategy.
Before that he was head of online for Exeter-based Blue Chip Holidays.
His appointment was announced by easyJet CEO Johan Lundgren today at the ABTA Travel Convention in Seville.
A spokesman for easyJet said a start date has not yet been confirmed.
