JetBlue Airways and Alaska Air are in the running for a potential takeover of Virgin America.
Virgin has received initial bids from both carriers, a Bloomberg report said, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.
Talks between Virgin and both suitors are ongoing so a deal could be wrapped up as early as next week, Bloomberg says.
Virgin shares were up by 10% Monday while JetBlue and Alaska Air’s share price also rose.
Burlingame, California based Virgin only went public 18 months ago after a $350 million initial public offering.
