South America carrier LAN and Jetstar have agree a code share pact expanding connectivity between South America and Oceania.
The code share agreement gives LAN passengers access to 15 new routes in Australia and New Zealand, offering through ticketing and baggage to the final destination.
The agreement adds to LAN’s existing code share arrangement with Jetstar parent company Qantas.
Further enhancements to the partnership are expected to include more international routes in Oceania and Southeast Asia.
"The new agreement, which strengthens the existing relationship between LAN Airlines and Jetstar Airways, expands our network of tourist destinations in Oceania and allows our passengers to connect from Sydney and Auckland to attractive destinations in the region," said Soledad Berrios, VP strategic alliances at LAN parent LATAM Airlines Group.
