Kenya holidays remain suspended

Wednesday, 16 January 20083 min read

The suspension of holidays to Kenya has been extended once more.

Charter flights will not operate up to and including Friday January 18.

The Federation of Tour Operators said a decision on Saturday’s flight will be made today (Wednesday).

The suspension of charter flights is based on the latest update from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, which advises against all but essential travel to the country.

“The situation in Kenya remains serious. Tensions are running high,” it advised.

The FTO said customers due to fly over the coming days should contact their travel agent or tour operator.

“Alternative holidays for these customers will be offered where available or refunds of moneys paid,” said a spokesman.
