KLM launching Portland flights
Dutch flag carrier KLM is expanding its transatlantic network with new Portland flights from Amsterdam.
Starting October 27 2024, KLM will fly three times a week during winter and five times a week during summer from Amsterdam to Portland, Oregon.
UK passengers can connect to these flights from one of KLM’s 17 departure points across the UK.
The new KLM flights replace partner Delta Air Lines’ service on this route.
Delta is KLM’s partner in their transatlantic joint venture.
Delta has been flying between Amsterdam and Portland for 15 years.
From October 27, KLM offers Portland flights three times a week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday during winter.
In summer 2025, the airline will fly five times a week.
The route will be operated by KLM’s Boeing 787-9 fleet with 30 seats in World Business Class, 21 seats in Premium Comfort, and 224 Economy seats.
Portland is the state capital of Oregon.
It’s a year-round destination noted for its easy access to a host of natural attractions such as Mt. Hood, Columbia River Gorge and Forest Park.
Portland also has a renowned culinary scene.
