Kuoni takes over French operator

Kuoni has acquired French long haul operator Les Ateiliers du Voyage for an undislcosed sum.

The company, whch had a turnover of 13 million euros last year and employs 15 staff, runs tours to Asia, Southern Africa and Latin America in addition to small group trips.

It also has a 700-square-metre sales outlet in Paris offering personal travel advice in “exotic surroundings”.

Kuoni said Les Ateliers du Voyage was “justly renowned for the outstanding quality of its entire product range” and its brands would be retained along with its staff.

“The acquisition marks a further step in Kuoni’s expansion in the premium and specialist segments,” a statement said.
