Kwik Travel bought by Preston Travel Group
Channel Islands operator Preston Travel Group has acquired Midlands-based homeworking travel company Kwik Travel for an undisclosed sum.
Preston Travel Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rosedale (JW) Investments, a Jersey-based trust which also owns Flybe
Airlines and Blackburn Rovers Football Club.
Preston Travel Group Holdings own the UK’s largest Channel Islands tour Ooperator, Preston Holidays and Jersey Travel Service.
It acquired upmarket Greece and Cyprus specialists Amathus Holidays in November 2005.
Preston Travel Group managing director Kevin Duckworth said the acquisition of Kwik Travel was part of the group’s long-term strategic goal of acquiring niche specialist travel companies.
“We were particularly attracted to Kwik Travel because of the quality and experience of their senior management team, the value of the brand and the exceptional quality of their homeworkers.
“Kwik Travel had an established and well-defined long-term plan for growth and we wanted to work in partnership with them to deliver their goals. “
