Large haul of cocaine seized from cruise ship
US Customs and Border Protection officers seized nearly 70 pounds (31 kg) of cocaine hidden inside a cruise ship arriving at Port Everglades.
The consignment was spotted by the ship’s security team on 6 June and CBP officials were alerted.
A CBP praised the collaboration between ship and port officials and the CBP but didn’t name the ship. It was docked at Port Everglades for a technical stop without passengers as US cruising is yet to restart after the long cruise ship ban.
