Wednesday, 25 Sep, 2007 0

Of the 20 largest hotels in the world, 15 are located within a two-mile radius of Las Vegas, according to ehotelier.com.

The No. 1 hotel was the First World with more than 6,000 rooms in Malaysia.

But following right behind was the 5690-room MGM Grand.

In the past, the Grand was the largest in the world.

Some of the top ten hotels in Vegas include the Luxor (4,408 rooms), Mandalay Bay (4,341), the Venetian (4,027), Excalibur (4,008), Bellagio (3,993), Circus Circus (3,774) and the Flamingo Las Vegas (3,565).

“Las Vegas is famous for many items.  Besides gambling, wedding, conventions, destination resorts, Las Vegas is famous for the size of the hotels,” concludes the site.
