Lastminute.com confirms ‘live retail space’

Online retailer lastminute.com opens its first shop in London on Monday.

The temporary outlet – or ‘live retail space’ – is due to appear in London’s Covent Garden from Monday for 48 hours before moving to Birmingham and Manchester later in the month.

The lastminute.com store will give a selection of live experiences from the website’s portfolio of products free of charge.

The ‘good stuff’ store will at midday on Monday at St James Street in Covent Garden for two days before being packed up and moved  to Birmingham on March 10-11 and Manchester on March 13-14.

Lastminute.com“In these tough times when things are a little uncertain and everyone’s having to tighten their belts, lastminute.com wants to give people the chance to get some good stuff. European managing director Simon Thompson said:

“This is the chance to be pampered, entertained and spoiled, all on us. We feel that giving good stuff to people epitomises the essence and culture of the lastminute.com brand as we strive to give people the opportunity to do more in their free time without breaking the bank.”

On offer will be complementary massages and manicures, cooking demonstrations, tasting sessions, live theatre and music performances.
